Custom Class Ring Wrap — Step-by-Step
Timeline: usually 2–3 weeks (rush options may be available)
Goal: make your class ring look bigger, brighter, and still be the star
Step 1: Precision Measurement
Every pertect fit begins with precision. We carefully measure your class ring's width, height, and taper using digital calipers. Special attention is given to the shoulders and top sections, ensuring the guard slides on effortlessly without causing any abrasion.
These measurements, recorded in millimeters, establish our exact design boundaries.
Step 2: Concept Sketch
Before any digital work begins, we start with a hand-drawn concept. This sketch maps out the ring guard's proportions, diamond placement, and how it wraps around your class ring. This step ensures the design vision is clear before moving into 3D modeling.
Step 3: 3D CAD Design
Next, our designer recreates your class ring's form digitally and builds the ring guard around it in CAD (Computer-Aided Design). We precisely add stone seats and maintain 0.2-0.3 mm clearance to protect your ring's surface. The design is engineered for strength, balance, and beauty-never bulky, always refined
Step 4: Resin Prototype
We then 3D print a resin prototype of your guard. This allows us to test the fit in real life-adjusting in fractions of a millimeter if needed.
The goal: a flawless, secure fit that slides on smoothly with zero wobble or resistance.
Step 5: Metal Casting &
Pre-Finishing
Once approved, the design is cast in gold (or your chosen metal). Our jewelers then clean, refine, and pre-polish the piece, removing casting supports and perfecting the form. We recheck the fit on your class ring to confirm absolute precision after casting.
Step 6: Stone setting and polishing
Every diamond is individually seated and secured under magnification. Our setter ensures the diamond line is uniform, the prongs are tight, and each stone is locked in place for lasting durability and brilliance.
Step 7: Final Polish & Quality Check
The guard is polished to a brilliant shine, while the inside surface remains smooth to protect your class ring. We perform a final inspection verifying diamond security, symmetry, and overall finish. The ring must meet our exacting standards before leaving our workshop.
Step 8: Delivery & Care
During delivery, we show you how to properly install and remove your guard-front first, gentle twist on and off. We recommend removing both rings during sports, heavy lifting, or chemical exposure, and we offer free periodic cleanings and tightening to keep your piece in perfect condition.
