All of our rings are made with comfort fit unless you specifically request otherwise. Is custom jewelry more expensive than a ready-made piece of jewelry?Because everything about the process is custom, you tell us your budget and we will adjust the quality of materials to accommodate it. Every piece is made in-house, so we have all the power over the materials going into your piece. You can work with our designers as long as it takes, never at an additional cost. So no, custom is not more expensive than a ready-made piece, unless you want it to be.

What is Rhodium PlatingRhodium plating is necessary to achieve a bright white finish on white gold. White gold’s true color is off white. Since gold comes out of the ground yellow, we add white alloys to it to create white gold. Since we can never achieve a perfect bright white, white gold gets plated with a thin coat of rhodium, a rare metal that is a member of the platinum group. Our rhodium plating price starts at $97 which includes the necessary polish before a piece is plated.

Is my custom design truly one-of-a-kind?In a sense, yes. While Robson’s Jewelers owns the rights to all of our designs, if your custom design is made uniquely for you and very distinct, we are not going to duplicate it. However, for more simplified settings and motifs, we cannot guarantee that the ring will not be recreated and as a courtesy to you we will always try to alter it slightly.

What is your resizing policy?We understand sizing can be tricky. Resizing is complimentary the first time on all rings within 60 days of purchase. However, conditions apply to eternity bands because some cannot be resized. In those cases we need to make absolutely sure that we have the correct size before we create the ring. You can purchase a Montgage care plan to cover 100% of the ring going forward.

Can you recreate something I found somewhere else?We will gladly customize one of our pieces to fit you and your style. We do revise designs from other stores as long as the image is not trademarked, we will also make some simple modification to its not an exact duplicate. We specialize in custom design.

Can I upgrade my diamond?Yes! We give you 100% back in your pocket! We offer upgrades on all diamonds as long as they were purchased through us and still have their GIA or AGS certificate. The full value of your original diamond is applied to the upgraded diamond. You must double the diamonds value to get the full original purchase amount.

What's covered on custom design jewelry?All ring orders come with one complimentary ring resizing to within one full size. All jewelry is covered under warranty for life against manufacturer defects from Montage warranties. Normal wear and tear and abuse/accidental damage IS covered under this policy. All custom orders are nonrefundable. Once jewelry is completed, balance is required upon completion.

How can I make a matching wedding band for my engagement ring?The same custom process of working with a designer and building 3D models applies to wedding rings, as well. We will use the exact measurements of your engagement ring to build your wedding band around it according to the design you want.

Should I consider getting a lab grown diamond?There are a few reasons to opt for a synthetic gem over a natural gem. For one, it is a lot more cost effective to go synthetic. Another reason is that it can be a more ethical decision in the way that you are not directly contributing to the mining industry issues and conflicts. That is not to say that it is the only ethical option as there are many ways to leave a positive impact on the mining industry by opting for a natural.

Why does silver jewelry change colors?This is very common for silver jewelry and it is called tarnishing. The good news is that tarnish only occurs on the surface and can be polished away. If you want your white metal jewelry to not tarnish, opt for white gold or platinum- neither of these metals will tarnish.

Can I take the bracelet through airport security?Yes, the TSA does not ask you to remove fine jewelry when you go through security. People with our permanent bracelets have been through airports with no problem.

How long will my bracelet last?This is dependent on your lifestyle, but you can keep it on for years if you'd like. If your permanent bracelet breaks or stretches, we will do our best to repair it.

What does forever/permanent jewelry mean?Our metal smiths will weld on a custom fit bracelet to your wrist using a painless, quick and easy process. Because the bracelet is welded on, it does not have a clasp and therefore will "permanently" stay on until you decide to remove it.
